One of the “big things” that we are pursuing in our homeschool is more Dad involvement. I want to be as involved as possible, while still being involved in our church, pursuing my wife, pushing ahead with my vocational endeavors… We were delighted to discover a new aspect of the Tapestry of Grace curriculum called Pop Quiz. Pop Quiz is weekly 15 minute audio overview of the Tapestry curriculum and discussion questions, all geared to help me have a clue as to what’s going on in my homeschool!
Since I have a 2+ hour daily commute, being able to load my iPod and enjoy synching up with what my kids are experiencing in the week is of serious strategic importance. Scott Somerville is feverishly scripting these audio recordings together for future units (and boy, am I cheering him on!), and eventually the complete 4 year cycle will be covered.
I’ve listened to some of the sample curriculum online, and I can’t wait for next year. This is going to be a great way for me to quickly and easily get clued in to what my kids are learning. Thank you Scott!!!
